Criteria: These distinctive unit insignia (DUI) are worn by the 276th Engineer Battalion. Their motto is Liberty or Death. The blue on this DUI alludes to Infantry because this crest was originally approved for the 1st Infantry Regiment in 1929. It was later redesignated for the 276th Engineer Battalion in 1968.
