Criteria: This is the Unit Crest (Distinctive Unit Insignia) for the 42nd Field Artillery Brigade. The large main red and yellow section of the crest represents the unit's service during WWI. The design of that portion of the crest bears resemblance to the coat of arms of the areas served by the group. Unit Crests are worn on the epaulets of the Army's Class A Uniform jacket.
