Criteria:

This is the South Dakota National Guard Service Medal Ribbon. Awarded to a service member with a SDNG unit in either Federal or State Service since 1959, while assigned to a SDNG unit thats called into Federal service, or a non Federal Service member who is assigned to a unit of the SDNG during a 5 yr period, 100% attendance at scheduled training during the full 5 yr period, and credit for honorable Federal Service.
